Carson Middle School
Carson Middle School is located in Greensboro, Georgia. Greensboro is in rural Greene County, which is located in the northeastern part of Georgia.
Greensboro is half way between Atlanta and Augusta on Interstate 20. The population of Greene County is approximately 14,000. The demographic break down of the county is 52% White, 45% Black and 5% other.

Carson Middle School has 42 instructional staff members for the 2009-2010 school year.

There are 33 certified staff members.  There are two administrators, one counselor, and one media specialist.

Carson Middle School has 445 students in grades sixth through eighth this school year.

The student body is approximately 72% Black, 20% White, and 8% other. Carson Middle School is on a school-wide Free and Reduced School Lunch Program based on the fact that 79% of the student population qualifies for free and reduced lunch.

Even though we are on a school wide free and reduced lunch status, there is a wide range of social and economic conditions in which the students live.

The students come to Carson Middle School from Greensboro Elementary and Union Point Elementary. Parents and guardians can choose which elementary school that they want their child to attend, but they have to provide transportation if the school is out of the students’ school attendance zone.
